Bonnie Blue Promises to ‘Cause Uproar’ at Gold Coast Schoolies Despite Visa Ban
Adult film star Bonnie Blue — real name Tia Billinger — has reignited outrage after revealing plans to return to the Gold Coast for Schoolies Week 2025, vowing to “frustrate a lot of parents” and spark another national uproar.
Blue, who gained global attention last year for soliciting “barely legal 18-year-old” men to film explicit videos with her during Schoolies, told A Current Affair she intends to make a comeback — despite previously being barred from entering Australia.
“I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just say I’ve got good lawyers and I will be doing Schoolies this year,” Blue said.
“A good lawyer gets you a very long way — maybe even Down Under. I think it’s going to frustrate a lot of parents. This is going to cause the biggest uproar this year.”
Visa Revoked in 2024
Last November, Australia’s Department of Home Affairs revoked Blue’s 12-month visa after determining she intended to breach visa conditions by engaging in sex work while in the country.
Officials said the cancellation was based on her plans to work rather than the sexual nature of her proposed activities, which involved consenting adults aged 18 and older.
The decision came after widespread public outrage and condemnation from parents, politicians, and advocacy groups, who called her campaign to recruit young men during Schoolies “predatory” and “exploitative.”
Government May Step In Again
It’s unclear whether Blue currently holds a valid visa or how she plans to re-enter Australia. However, immigration experts suggest authorities could again deny her entry if she intends to perform or produce adult content while in the country.
Schoolies, the annual end-of-year celebration for graduating students, has long been under scrutiny for underage drinking, safety concerns, and predatory behaviour. Blue’s planned appearance has renewed fears about exploitation and online content creation involving newly 18-year-olds.
Parents and Officials Brace for Controversy
Parents’ groups and local Gold Coast officials have previously urged tighter restrictions during Schoolies to protect young attendees. Blue’s comments that she will “cause the biggest uproar this year” have already triggered strong reactions on social media, with many calling for her to be denied entry once again.
While Blue maintains she is not breaking any laws by targeting consenting adults, critics say her actions blur ethical lines and risk glamorising unsafe sexual behaviour.
