IKEA NZ Reveals Pricing Ahead of December Store Opening and Pop-Ups

IKEA has given New Zealanders a sneak peek at pricing ahead of the grand opening of its first store in Auckland next month. Alongside the official store opening at Sylvia Park on December 4, IKEA will also launch pop-up venues in Christchurch and Wellington, offering a curated selection of popular items to the public.

The pop-up experiences provide an early opportunity for shoppers to see and purchase items, with Christchurch's pop-up running daily from 10am to 6pm until December 10 at Cathedral Square. Wellington's pop-up will take place at Odlins Plaza from November 28 to December 17, open from 11am to 7pm daily. Both locations feature creative showcases by local artists, interpreting IKEA designs through various movie genres and artistic lenses.

IKEA has released a range of affordable pricing options, catering to budget-conscious shoppers. For example, the FRAKTA carrier bag will be priced at $1.99, while a watering can is available for $4.99. Other items like the LAMPAN table lamp, priced at $12.99, and children's stools at $19.99, are perfect for small purchases. Larger furniture pieces, such as the $119 PERJOHAN storage bench and $399 KLIPPAN sofa, sit at the higher end of the range.

IKEA’s food court at the Auckland store will also feature local dishes, including Lingonberry Pavlova for $4 and lamb pies for $6.50. Hoki fish and chips with peas will be offered for $14.

For IKEA Family members, delivery across New Zealand starts at $7 for parcel delivery on orders over $15, with truck delivery options starting at $49 in Auckland.
